How to create a website with Joomla
Clean-up and modify your front page:
The default Joomla templates come with lots of pre-configured articles and modules. From the Control panel go to “Front page manager”, from there you can remove, add or modify the articles on your home page. The best way to remove an article or module is to disable it, in case you decide to use it later. You can do it by clicking on the little icon against the article’s name or by selecting “Publish” or “Unpublish” from the top bar. However, the Front page manager displays only the articles on the page, but not the modules, so you’ll have to open the “Extensions” menu “Module manager” to remove or modify all the pre-installed modules on the homepage or anywhere on the site. You can also change the positions of the modules from the “Position” box.
